Saw a great Thought this morning on neemee and had to share it with the collective.
Yanko design has created Eye Candy to help change the way you think! Specifically; "Eye Candy uses a Sensory Substitution Technology to naturally send vibrant, emotive images to your mind."
In other words, the more you lick the lolly the better equipped you'll be to Relax, Socialize, Assert, Meditate, Confront or Focus. Whether you think it's a great idea or not, it was tagged beautifully, giving plenty of description, details, and even used the CultureWaves ontology - which we always find helpful.
"Andrew" also gave us a great perspective with this comment “eye candy is an extraordinary idea... imagine it in your life...after
a long day at the office...an extra treat...a getaway... ”
All in all, a wonderful Thought...made me think, tagged exceptionally well, and the comment let us know exactly how the thinker perceived this evidence.
The neemee pulse has a twist this week as users of neemee at
one company have a contest going to win a few mac book airs and 3G iphones. The
users with the “best” thoughts will win and it has obviously created some activity
in neemee with this awesome incentive. This week’s neemee pulse will take a look at a couple of the best
thoughts this week from that group and why they are so great. While this doesn’t
mean these specific thoughts have won anything (I am not the final decision), I
can guarantee they will be in the running.
Thought 1: Augmented Reality
User “charris” had
two related thoughts that are truly amazing. They deal with Augmented Reality
and the potential for this technology is endless. Read his thoughts for the
details but essentially they are 3-D digital images that can move around our
real world. His thoughts include more but See the video below. (Don't be too impatient, the video gets interesting at the :30 mark.)
"charris" commented with “imagine opening your TGIF menu to be
greeted by the flying promotion of the month...Hot Wings actually hovering at
your table, giving you a 360-degree view to whet your appetite!"
What else makes this thought great?
Not only are these thoughts amazing, "charris" captured them
very well. They had 9 tags on one thought and 11 on the other. Further, "charris"
commented on both thoughts. They also captured the text well in this thought. Notice how the text is broken up and easy to read, not the entire article.
User "AMR" did a great job capturing an interesting thought this morning. It has been over 50 years since the first Red Balloon flew over Paris in a fantasy short film that was re released in the U.S. last year. However, the new red balloon is not always red. Seen everyday by over 400,000 people, this color changing balloon is an indicator of air quality. In fact, a red balloon now is an indication of hazardous air pollution. Read the entire thought here.
What makes this thought great?
Not only is the thought very interesting, it too is well tagged, commented, and the text is easy to read. All that is great but what put this thought over the edge was the question "AMR" posed at the end of the thought. "It makes you ask--what can we do when we combine Green and Great Design?" It is thinking like this spurring innovation and change.
Also wanted to mention "D.D. Dara", "Jump", and "tpenin" for great tagging. Keep up the good work.

The long 4th of July weekend hardly meant the world was taking a break from culture.
Labeled the favorite thought captured in neemee this past weekend, we
see energy savings, flame-grilled chicken, and marketing brilliance all
in one.El Pollo Loco now delivers food in the
Los Angeles area with Zap,
an electric three-wheel car. At $12,000, the cars act like a “green
billboard” for the chain with people more interested in the delivery of
the food than the food itself.
Bad news for Pfizer and its Viagra pill, researchers say that watermelon has effects similar to Viagra in a new study. While not the exact same effect, neemee is finding more and more evidence indicating natural remedies are often similar and just as effective as most drugs. Check out the full thought here.
In what you should expect to be a weekly topic about alternative energy, consumers are not only driving less, but buying appliances and electronics that use less energy as well. A manager from an electronics retailer claimed nine out of ten people ask point blank whether a product will help them save money on energy. You can save up to 40% on energy costs buying an efficient refrigerator. More Details..
The Europeans have decided to start sex education at age 4. The idea being 'gradual education' from such a young age would help to stop children from rushing into sex when they are older. Evidence shows teaching kids about sex before children start puberty, before they feel sexual attraction - they start having sex later. Just like alcohol age requirements, the Europeans educate younger in hopes the gradual effect is stronger than the American way. Thought.
A few interesting trends are emerging in the grocery business in these times of economic uncertainty. First, Grocery Outlet, a west coast chain in 6 states offering a 40-60% discount on name brand foods, is thriving under the current economy. You don't exactly what they will have but the selection is diverse enough to make it a one stop shop. On the other end of the spectrum, online grocery shopping is beginning to pop up with guarantees of freshness. Grocery Gateway is a service for Toronto that will deliver straight to your door for an additional fee.

Don Imus is in the news again with racial remarks about NFL player
Pacman Jones.
Several Farmers found the content worthy of capture using

Speaking of Celebrity, several have made the World Thought Bank this week from Tiger Wood's discarded apple core selling for $36K on ebay to Marilyn Monroe's Sex Tape,
that J. Edgar Hoover and the Feeb's tried to prove involved one of the
Kennedy Brother's being sold for more than one million dollars to an
unidentified New York businessman. Then Kid Rock, (with video here)
decided to take on Apple and their online music distributer iTunes by
telling fans to steal music through P2P services for holding musicians
hostage. Seems we are more prone to allow celebrities to go the Barely Legal route.
Some New York youth took Rock's suggestion to "steal everything"
literally and committed a crime spree apparently inspired by the
Grand Theft Auto video game. Thought
Technology thoughts have dominated this week as consumers continue to
look for additional benefits from their shoes and clothing to help them
see in the dark, find Wi-Fi signals, and alert motorists to their turn decisions on bicycles through their clothing. Technology Grid
Speaking of bikes, there has been a torrent of thoughts about
two-wheel pedal power this week. Proof that gas prices have hit a point
where many are seriously considering alternative transportation. Watch
for more messaging that play off cycling as the viable opportunity to
get out of the gas line, into shape, and take advantage of more natural resources, namely ourselves.
On a side note, newspapers and television industry beware. TV and Papers lose $1 Billion to web.Thought Newspaper plan on slashing more jobs in compensation for sagging advertisement sales. Thought. Think about the growth of the web as a viable resource for your message or product reach.
Finally, all the news you might have read that Mom's (Mom Grid)are leaving the workforce in record numbers might be completely wrong. The Opting-Out trend that has been widely reported through the media and trend aggregator services has some contradictory evidence. Thought
