Have you played with the Neemee source cloud recently? If not, you are missing out.
Anytime you are looking at a page full of thoughts, you are viewing the grid view. Just above this grid of thoughts lay three boxes giving you the option to "view results as." If you select the "source cloud," you will see a weighted cloud of all the sources that have been used to capture thoughts. Now what to do with all of these sources?
1. Find websites relating to your topic: Anytime you search the World Thought Bank, a number of resulting thoughts will appear relating to your search. By selecting the source cloud view after you have searched, you will see the sources of thoughts only relating to your topic. For example, if you search "computers," and then select "source cloud," you will notice blog.wired.com is larger than most words on the page. This indicates there are a larger number of thoughts, most likely about technology, have been captured from this site. The gray number in parenthesis next to the source is the actual number of times that source has been used for various thoughts.
2. Expand your blog roll: Thoughts streaming into Neemee come from all over the web but we have found many come from many great blogs. While it's hard to find the good blogs, knowing a blog is on Neemee more than once is a good indicator it was the source of a few interesting thoughts.
It is important to point out that you can't search the source cloud, but the sources are arranged in alphabetical order. Click on any of the source links and a new tab will open containing the source.
Have fun with this new tool and enjoy all the sites you never knew about!
