Advanced Search Options Explained

Take full advantage of Neemee's powerful search capability using the "Advanced Search Options" found under the search bar.

While all of Neemee's content is filtered by humans, this feature allows you to refine your search even further. If you simply search without adding any advanced options, Neemee scans the entire World Thought Bank of information for your term in the text of an article, in the titles, and in the tags of articles.  There are 4 methods to refine your search.

1. Search by titles & tags only: This method searches for your keyword in the title of "Thoughts" and in the tags users have selected to describe their article. It doesn't do a word search through the text of a thought.

2. Search by tags only: Now you are only searching through the words users selected to tag their thought when they captured it. You have now refined your search even further by removing the search of titles.

3. Search by titles only: Getting pretty self explanatory here. Now you are only searching the titles of the article, not the tags or the text in the thought.

4. Date Rage: Believe it or not, Neemee is starting to get some age on her. Culture is always moving forward, rendering some thoughts irrelevant. By selecting a date range, you are excluding all thoughts captured outside of that range. For example, you are researching Barack Obama's campaign. Most thoughts after November 4, 2008 are irrelevant so you could set the "end date range" as November 4, 2008.
